Dating back to 1933, the "Joseph Buegeleisen Co." in 1933 were specialists in motorcycle accessories and saddlebags. In 1947, they launched "Buco", a full apparel line with the slogan: “Motorcycle jackets, gloves, caps, belts and bags all cut and sewn by life long craftsmen dedicated to the task at hand”. The Real McCoy's purchased the Buco license and continues to produce goods that live up the original standard.

McCoy's cotton knitwear is among the very best in the world, and their heavy tees are no exception. Sewn up from an 8oz cotton knit, the fit is relaxed, with a vintage shape (shorter and wider in the torso than more modern tees) and a binder collar that's designed to hold its shape after repeated washes. The front and back feature custom "Buco Engineers" rubber prints that McCoy's apply by hand to each tee at their Kobe HQ.
